How the Formulas Work
CP Formula (Carb Priority)

CP = (2 × carb_grams × fiber_index) / protein_grams

Ensures carbs are always accompanied by adequate protein. The fiber index rewards high-fiber foods because fiber doesn't spike blood sugar. Lower CP = better for weight loss.

FP Formula (Fat Priority)

FP = (4.5 × fat_grams) / protein_grams

Ensures fats are always accompanied by adequate protein. The 4.5 multiplier reflects that fat has 9 cal/g (vs protein's 4 cal/g) adjusted for thermogenesis. Lower FP = better for weight loss.

Fiber Indices: Very High = 0.25  |  High = 0.50  |  Moderate = 0.75  |  Low/None = 1.00
Seasoning Effect: 0g values are replaced with 0.0001g since trace amounts come from seasonings.
