The Adipofyte Glossary
Every word a Fyter needs — defined clearly. Yes, Adipofyte, not adipocyte.
- Adipofyte
- The plateau-proof weight-loss platform and lifestyle built on Dr. George Ekema's Plateau-proof Diet. Not to be confused with 'adipocyte', a fat cell.
- Fyter
- A person who lives the Adipofyte lifestyle. A Fyter eats everything without restriction, moves with intent, uses botanicals, and loses weight without the plateau. A Fyter is not a fighter — they are the smart one who stopped struggling.
- Plateau-proof Diet
- The eating system created by Dr. George Ekema in 2004 that prevents metabolic adaptation by rotating two phases, so weight loss never stalls at a plateau.
- CP (Carb Priority)
- The low-carb, carb-priority phase of the rotation. CP runs for 10 days.
- FP (Fat Priority)
- The low-fat, fat-priority phase of the rotation. FP runs for 5 days.
- CP/FP Rotation
- The core mechanism of the Plateau-proof Diet: alternating 10 days of CP with 5 days of FP so the metabolism never adapts and never plateaus.
- The Plateau
- The point where weight loss stalls despite continued effort — the body's survival response to dieting. The Plateau-proof Diet is designed specifically to prevent it.
- Botanicals
- Plant-based supports used within Adipofyte to gently accelerate transformation and health, one of the four supporting pillars.
- Maya
- The AI coach inside Adipofyte that guides Fyters through the system, answers questions, and personalises the journey.
- Herald
- Adipofyte's daily research-grounded article author, publishing evidence-based content for Fyters.
